Great stay!

Clean, friendly staff, location was ideal! Close to metro station and in the shopping street. Historical area within walking distance.

We didn’t like that we needed to give our credit card details at the beginning of our stay to ensure we didn’t take anything from the mini bar without paying for it.

Lovely stay if you're heavy sleepers!

Hotel was lovely - clean and spacious Staff were friendly and attempted to be helpful with the mattress issue we had.

The breakfast wasn't worth the money The mattresses on the beds are like trampolines so if your partner turns over in the night you will know about it. We both slept terribly the entire trip and had to resort to sleeping tablets. We enquired at reception for twin beds but they were fully booked. Why on earth mattresses need to be so springy is beyond me!

Enjoyed the hotel and the city

Excellent breakfast. The location was perfect for transport links and sightseeing around the city. Close to many different restaurants. Comfortable bed and very clean room. The terrace was a great place to eat and relax.

Nice hotel, good location but breakfast needs to improve

Good location, 15 minutes to Cathedral and right in the heart of the shopping area. The staff at breakfast (George, Dominique and Flo) were lovely and helpful but 2 staff per day is not enough.

Breakfast is average, the main reason is the shortage of staff when busy. Hot buffet very limited and nobody explained you can order eggs from kitchen.

The location is excellent, the hotel is in the center. The rooms are clean, the bed was comfortable. I didn't like that there was no kettle, no tea, no coffee in the room, which is always the case in 4-star hotels. The mini bar is empty, so I don't understand why there is even a minibar in the room if it is empty. There is carpet all over the floors of the hotel, even in the elevators, but there is none in the rooms! there is a laminate in the room, which I still don't understand. Overall, the location is excellent, the room is clean, but for 4 stars, the room must have more equipments.

Definitely stay again

Great location close to the North Train Station, metro and town centre. Fabulous staff, very helpful guy who checked us in and the young guy in the bar was extremely kind.

Only by personal preference, I would prefer a bathroom more independent from the bedroom, but very clean and comfortable nevertheless.

Nice location, clean rooms, nice staff, modern and beautiful

The bathroom and the shower was separately and the sink again separately but in the room, it was very uncomfortable to be there with a friend as the doors are also transparent. We also booked a two beds rooms and it was a single bed, they told us the one we booked is not available.

Location very central. Staff very friendly. Clean, comfortable and quiet!

Had to ask for a coffee machine which it says is included in the room. Strange bathroom layout.

Wonderful

Early check in ( was very important for me), friendly and responsive staff, everything is good enough.

No kettle and microwave inside room, water from the shower may get on the floor, poor sound insulation, not sure that the ventilation on the ceiling was properly cleaned of dust.

perfect location

perfect location and convinient transport from the airport, comfortable, very clean room, great view from the window, helpful, polite staff, our room was ready earlier than expected

in the room separate sink in the corridor at the entrance door, no coffee machine or kettle, althouh the coffee machine was in the room description on booking.com- at our request the staff provided an electric kettle and and paper cups

What was the highlight of SH Colón Valencia

Wonderful

Well located for most places in walking distance in the historical district. and good value for money as most accommodation in Valencia is over priced compared with other European cities. My initial room overlooking an inner courtyard was very dark and made me feel claustrophobic. I asked for a change and was given an alternative room that faced a school playground to the back of the building which was very quiet and comfortable. Room was well insulated against noise. Room also had blackout curtains which allowed one to have a lie in and not be woken up by the sun. Staff were professional and ready to help. Breakfast spread was very good and varied with mixture of cooked and cold dishes.

Dinner at the hotel is not cheap and not as good. I stayed in for dinner because Valencia was packed this week with visitors because of two Public holidays in the same week.
